Balu most recently headed the International Recoveries Group at Capital One. Balu led effort to shape global recoveries strategy and kicked-off pilots in India.He also headed the Strategy & Analysis group for recoveries agency management, driving metrics-based performance improvement and incentive-based pricing.
Prior to Capital One, Balu was management consultant for Booz-Allen & Hamilton in New York. Balu worked on turn-arounds, process redesigns, product entry strategies and mergers & acquisitions. Balu also co-founded Expenseadvisor.com, Inc. and as COO led operations and product development. Prior to business school, Balu worked for Delphi-Delco Electronics Corp. in Kokomo, IN. as project team lead, taking product Research & Development into full-scale operations.
Balu holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, majoring in finance & marketing and a Master’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Balu obtained his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University, Bangalore, India.
